Red Bull Air Race aircraft on display at historic Helsinki-Malmi Airport on Saturday 10 June 2006

Red Bull Air Race brings its racing airplanes in front of the public at historic Helsinki-Malmi Airport on Saturday 10 June 2006 from noon to 3 pm. Everyone is welcome. On Sunday 11 June around noon the aircraft will fly over Helsinki and towards St. Petersburg where the next Red Bull Air Race World Series competition will take place on 17 June.

Also called the Formula 1 of the Skies, Red Bull Air Race World Series is an international flying competition series combining aerobatics, speed flying and low altitude flying. 11 top pilots of the world participate in the competition series which involves flying at a minimum altitude of 60 ft at speeds reaching 250 mph. This extremely viewer-friendly sport has also been presented on Finnish TV.
