The first-grade class 1A and a group of seventh-graders from Puistola elementary school acquainted themselves with Malmi Airport in spring 2008.

The visit was part of the collaboration between Puistola and Jakomäki schools, where students and their teachers work together by subject groups. The theme of the art group was the abandoned and forgotten places in the area.

Malmi Airport is perceived as a forgotten place, a forgotten possibility, which the students bring out with their artwork. Their theme was to portray the Airport using various techniques and through several senses.

The children's colorful artwork is on display in the main building of Malmi Airport until Friday morning 3 October 2008.
