Screensaver installer

The Friends of Malmi Airport Society has compiled a free screensaver for Windows computers. It contains almost 200 images related to historic Helsinki-Malmi Airport. The images cover more than six decades from the 1930's to the present. Download the installation package to your PC (9 MB, available in Finnish and in English) and see for yourself this living cultural treasure of the Finnish capital!

Instructions and comments:

The screensaver works on Windows 95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP, and possibly on newer versions too. There is no Macintosh version yet, but there may be one later if a volunteer Mac screensaver expert turns up.

The installation package and the screensaver are freeware. A minimum screen resolution of 800x600 pixels is recommended.

Screensaver settings

To install the screensaver, download and run the installation package and follow the on-screen instructions. When the installer opens the window "Display Properties", select "Helsinki-Malmi Airport Screensaver" from the list of available screensavers, Set the "Delay" of your choice (the amount of idle time before the screensaver is activated) and click "OK".

To uninstall the screensaver, use "Add or Remove Programs" in the Control Panel. Note! The Friends of Malmi Airport Society cannot offer any technical support in case the screensaver should not install or work properly on your computer. The Society will not assume responsibility for any problems that might arise from the installation or use of this software.
